Juliet Marillier is 1 van mijn favoriete schrijfsters. Een zesde deel van deze geweldige serie maakt me dan ook helemaal blij! In elk deel staat een familielid (verschillende generaties) centraal. Ik ben zeer benieuwd naar Maeve, omdat ze al wel benoemd is in de serie en me toen al interessant leek! Ze is als kind ernstig verbrand, dit gaat natuurlijk veel invloed hebben op haar verhaal. Ik was niet zo enthousiast te lezen dat ze samen met haar broer op reis gaat, maar ik vertrouw op de vertelkunsten van J. Marillier!
